CARDINAL CLASSIC XIII: The Legend of Zwarte Piet

Cardinal Classic, the West Coast's premier
quizbowl event, took place at Stanford University on February 1, 2003.
Thirteen
teams participated in a full round-robin, at the end of which two teams
from Berkeley were tied with 11-1 records.
They played a one-game final match, in which Berkeley Seth
defeated Berkeley Larissa by a score of something like 325-210.
Congratulations to Berkeley Seth (Seth Teitler, Juliana Froggatt, Eok
Ngo, Ray Luo) on their victory, to Berkeley Larissa (Larissa Kelly,
Jeff Hoppes, Nick Meyer, Jon Pennington) on a very strong second
place, and to the top novice team, Davis A (Megan, John, Dave D., and
Dave M.).
