Branner Phil/Eddy wins the Fall 2006 Stanford Intramural Quizbowl Tournament, held on Saturday, October 28, 2006, after defeating Steely Dan in an exciting final match. Branner Phil/Eddy -- composed of Phil and Eddy -- lost by 10 in the preliminaries to Steely Dan, compiling a 6-1 record. Steely Dan, led by James and rounded out by Ryan, Wes, Dana, and Emily, was undefeated through preliminaries. Phil and Eddy each won a membership to Stanford's 6th Man Club for the 2006-2007 season, while Steely Dan won two memberships to the 6th man club and two $25 gift certificates to the Stanford Store.
FroSoCo Proletariat (Jason Ma, Justin Lebar, Alissa Sasayama, Michelle Goldring, and Tiffany Dao) defeated Diabolic Acid (Kiran, Nate, Ethan, Kevin, and Devin) in the 3rd place game and won two $25 gift certificates to the Stanford Store.
Full stats and standings for prelims are available, both with the exhibition team and without. After prelims, the non-exhibition teams moved to single-elimination playoffs. Stats for the playoffs are available here.
